Undoubtedly, the "Queen of Tex Mex" sowed many successes, which crowned her as the greatest female figure, in Tex Mex!  Among these, are numerous Tejano Music Awards (TMA's), Premios, Furia Musicals, and Premios Lo Nuestros!  However, without doubt, their greatest achievement was the American Grammy, a coveted prize that most artists don't win, for her "Live" album, recorded in Corpus Christi in 1993!  From 1986 to 1998, she was the female singer of the year, for the TMA's!
